Membership Costs: Our Commitment to Accessibility

Keeping dues and fees reasonable for marching members is a leading priority for the 2026 season and beyond to ensure students from all walks of life can experience MBI to its fullest. MBI is proud to showcase one of the lowest dues requirements in our activity while maintaining a world-class experience for our community, as well as offering our new needs-based scholarship fund, a robust alumni support network, and periodic fundraising opportunities.  Member dues cover a number of expenses including:

  • Professional and qualified instruction
  • Rehearsal facilities and equipment transportation
  • Equipment investment and maintenance
  • Meals provided at select camp/trip days
  • Corps uniform (hat, jacket, pants, plume, gloves, costuming)
  • New flags and guard uniforms every year
  • Performance sticks/mallets/implements
  • Transportation to DCI championships
  • Hotel accommodations at DCI Championships

2026 Member Dues and Fees

2026 Dues will be $1,350 which cover a variety of things for our members (listed above).

In addition to your dues, there are other expenses you may want to plan for as the summer approaches. These include:

  • Additional gloves
  • Corps jackets
  • Most meals on trips
  • Gas to rehearsals and local performances
  • Optional housing (if you prefer less than 4 to a room or staying in a hotel for gym-stay trips)
  • Optional travel expenses (if you prefer to fly or drive on your own rather than take the bus)

What’s New in 2026?

For the 2026 season, a number of expanded opportunities, experiences, and services will be available to members which are covered by the 2026 dues amount, including:

Expanded Instruction and Consultation Team

-Enhanced, professional equipment transportation services

-Additional camp day experiences, clinics, and overnights

-Extended DCI Championships Trip, including meals and hotel accommodations.

-Equipment and supplies upgrades

-Expanded resources for show product design and execution.

Support Options and Financial Aid

For the 2026 season, MBI is proud to offer access to our needs-based scholarship fund as well as a robust alumni network for support in covering dues and misc. fees for members in need. In addition, periodic fundraising campaigns offer additional options for members to generate financial support.
